Ibbagamuwa Central College is situated at a serene and tranquil site in the village known as Batalagoda. Surrounded by the blue waters of Batalagoda Tank, and encircled by a range of soaring mountains, the location of the school is one of the most beautiful sites in the world.

01 July 2011 - Annual Price Giving Day 2011. The annual price giving day for the year of 2011 is scheduled on 01-July-2011 at 1:00pm at P.M. Jayathilaka Auditorium of the school premises. All are invited. Chief Guest of the event is Prof. Sarath Kotagoda of University of Colombo. Click here for more details.

The Crest

The crest is a significant symbol of education in which an elephant holding aloft a lamp symbolizing the call for the light of education. There is a series of petals of a lotus flower in the periphery of the crest symbolizing the purity and transparency. The words “charatha sangama sesa nagowa ” and Ibbagamuwa Central College encircle the crest

The Motto

Behave yourself resembling an elephant at the battlefront!

The flag

The College flag consists of two colours, Maroon and pink. The major part of the flag is maroon while there is a pink strip at the centre.

12 Dec. 2009 Sumithuro Cricket Match - The Annual six a side Sumithuro Cricket Match was held on 12the December 2009 at the Welagedara Stadium. The ceremony was inaugurally started by the governor Mr. Tissa R Balalla. The participants sang our school song and National anthem. Although it was a rainy day, matches were going well. In the evening, all gathered at the Seasons Hotel and there held a special awards ceremony for two pioneer persons. One was Mr. Sunil Rathnayake, award winner for 2009 as the ?Best Constructor", and Mr. Richard Jayatissa, the proprietor of Richard Co. Ltd. for his recent Gineeva Medal.
