"Website is nicely done. The developers and the people who maintain it are very much appriciated. I was there in my school from Grage 6 till I got my A/Ls' in 1967. I was a hosteler. This school did not stop at teaching us books. There were so much to mention like Sinhala & English elocution tests, anual dana and seela programs, cadeting, cricket, foot ball, kala kawaya, music, drama, inter house PT competetions and sports meets. I found my better half too from the college itself. May thousands benefit from the services of this college!

"MyDear classmates （1974）
I think this information would be very interesting for my classmates in 1974. We were studying in the biology lab (most corner) with 6 girls and 11 boys. I can still remember my lovely friends in that class. Kodisinghe (DR), Ratnamalla (Major), Palitha (AD)，Siriwardena (ASP)， Wimalaratna（late DMO, Madavachchiya), Samarasinghe, Jayampathi (bassa）(DR)，Gunathilake, Kanthi Jayamenike)（Chuck）Kammani Devi Senanayake(Dr), Premawathi （loku) , Pramawathi (bashful named by Ruphas, Senanayake）are among them.
I have a good news to all my friend. I met Our loving Botany Teacher Ms Shiranthi Perera in Perth, Australia. She is very cute as she was teaching us those day. Her address: Ms Shiranthi Perera,23 Underwood Grove
Kardinya 6163, Australia. Pl leep in touch, she loves to talk to us. I visited her onece and she gave us a nice welcome！ Sadely her Husbond passed away in 2007. I passed this to Kodisinghe once. We never forget our lovely teachers Ms Ayantha Fernando，Mrs Wariyapola， last but not least Mr Siriwardena and Mr Ruphas Senanayake.

"Good work!
My life in Ibbagamuwa Central College was really interesting. I spent almost 37 years after leaving my mother school in 1974 and I never forget to sing my school anthem with the same rhythm that we all sung in the assembly hall. When I saw this web page I was elated to sing it again and again!
Now I can clearly understand each and every word in this beautiful anthem. More importantly, I can get the real taste of this beautiful wording.
It might be a different place for the new generation today, but I am sure this mother would ever like to love her kids as she did in good old days.
I am giving my big salute to the late Doyennes PM Jayathilake, EPW Helapitage and PB Ratnayake those who have guided my mother school to a shining star of the education, sports and social cohesion and justice for the poorest student in the island.
I pray and wish for a long life for my mother school!

12 Dec. 2009 Sumithuro Cricket Match - The Annual six a side Sumithuro Cricket Match was held on 12the December 2009 at the Welagedara Stadium. The ceremony was inaugurally started by the governor Mr. Tissa R Balalla. The participants sang our school song and National anthem. Although it was a rainy day, matches were going well. In the evening, all gathered at the Seasons Hotel and there held a special awards ceremony for two pioneer persons. One was Mr. Sunil Rathnayake, award winner for 2009 as the ?Best Constructor", and Mr. Richard Jayatissa, the proprietor of Richard Co. Ltd. for his recent Gineeva Medal.
